The poem, Strangers On A Train, was originally featured in the book "City of Pearls" (Upset Press, 2019) by Sham-e-Ali Nayeem.

Nayeem writes from the perspective of a Hyderabadi Muslim American, drawing from the languages of her life to compose a poetics of vulnerability and tenderness.
